First, I need to acknowledge the obvious….it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here. I have been focused on finishing my Masters of Arts in Teaching. I officially finished it about two weeks ago. I have been brainstorming about the direction I want to take this blog. After a great deal of time and thought, I have come up with some ideas. Rather than just posting random thoughts here and there I have decided to refocus this on living a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle isn’t simply about eating right and exercising, I also want to discuss spiritual, emotional, and mental health. I want to be open and transparent about my own journey.
I first started this blog shortly after receiving a diagnosis of Hoshimotos Disease, an autoimmune disorder. I wanted this to serve as a means of educating others about autoimmune disorders. So much information can be found about the topic and I wanted to find what I discover. I still plan to do this, but I also want to discuss health, fitness, and much more. Each week I hope to cover the following:
Motivation Monday: Let’s face it, Mondays are hard. I want to provide some motivation to help us all start the week off on the right foot.
Tuesday Treats: I’ll share meals and snacks that I have tried. Some will be healthy, but some will not be. I am a firm believer that it’s healthy to indulge every once in a while. Unfortunately, I indulge a little more than than just every once in a while…and this is something I am working on now.
Workout Wednesdays: I’ll share some of my tested and approved workout plans. This will also encourage me to try new things!
Thirsty Thursday: So, it’s not the most unique name, but it’s about being thirsty for knowledge….not a drink. On Thursdays I will share information I have learned about autoimmune disease and other resources I think others might find helpful.
For now I am only committing myself to four days a week, but maybe with time I will add posts on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays. Honestly, I would love to hear from anyone (if there is anyone) who reads this….I am open to all questions, thoughts, and suggestions. I truly want this to be a community where we all can learn and grown together.
I bring you your first Motivation Monday:
