Make Ahead Smoothie Packets

Smoothies can be a quick and healthy treat! It’s a great way to get in your daily servings of fruits and vegetables. One great idea I came across was making smoothie packets in advance to make the entire process a bit faster.


  • 2 heaping cups of spinach or kale
  • 2 cups of fruit; {all berries, bananas, citrus fruits, avocado, pineapple, mango, apples, pears, peaches, kiwi, etc.}
  • 1 cup protein; {Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or tofu}
  • 2 Tablespoons milled flaxseed
  • Add to blender jar
  • 2 cups liquid; {water, milk, soy milk, almond milk, coconut water or milk, or fruit juice}In a blender combine your smoothie pack and liquid. Blend until completely smooth. Pour into cups and enjoy! Makes 2 to 4 servings.                                                                                                                                                                    

Prepare after Freezing

  • Add Smoothie Freezer Pack to a blender.  Add 2 cups of liquid and blend till smooth.  Pour into cups and enjoy!
  • Label a quart size zip-top bag add 1 cup of protein.  Next add 2 tablespoons of milled flaxseed.  Now add 2 cups of washed fruit, I almost always add 1/2 of a banana and 5 pineapple chunks with 2 or 3 other kinds of fruit.  Top with 2 cups of fresh spinach or kale.  Remove as much air as you can from the bag, I use a straw, and then seal.  Place in freezer.
